What is the best view for evaluating acromioclavicular joint injury?
A stress view of the acromioclavicular joint (obtained with the patient in the upright position with 10 to 15 lb suspended from each wrist) is best for differentiating type II and type III sprains. An AP view showing both the affected and unaffected acromioclavicular joints should also be taken.
