What is one way pseudospondylolisthesis is differentiated from true spondylolisthesis?

In true spondylolisthesis, the step-off in the line formed by the tips of the spinous processes is above the level of the slip.
In pseudospondylolisthesis, the step-off is below the level of the slip. This is called the spinous process sign.
