How is the arterial blood supply of the hand arranged?

Two complete arches, or palmar arcades, supply the hand. Each arcade receives blood supply from both the radial and ulnar arteries.
The proximal arcade is the deep palmar arch, which receives blood supply primarily from the radial artery.
The distal arcade is the superficial palmar arch; it is supplied primarily by the ulnar artery.
