Does the CXR show tuberculosis involvement when tuberculosis affects the kidneys?

Possibly. CXR may be normal, but in 10% to 15% of patients it shows evidence of old pulmonary tuberculosis, and in fewer than 5% it shows evidence of active pulmonary tuberculosis.
