What findings on ultrasound are diagnostic?

Hypertrophy (thickening) of the pyloric muscle and elongation of the pyloric channel. Commonly accepted threshold values are as follows:
Single wall thickness more than 3 mm; pyloric channel length more than 16 mm. Measurements vary by author or institution; higher threshold measurements increase specificity
Hyperperistalsis of the stomach
