What is the most useful radiologic method for following pulmonary hypertension with cor pulmonale in a patient with CF?

Comparison films to follow the heart and the hilum are the most helpful. The heart is enlarged in cor pulmonale; however, a normal-sized heart may actually indicate cor pulmonale, because the heart is usually small in patients with CF as a result of hyperinflation of the lungs.
