No imaging technique is particularly useful. Most lesions are too small to be seen radiographically.
They usually have the appearance of small, focal nodules or a sheetlike coating on pelvic structures.
Laparoscopy is the gold standard for the diagnosis of endometriosis, but MRI is occasionally used.
