Perfusion and ventilation should be uniform throughout both lungs.
Defects may be seen at the location of normal structures, such as the hila, aorta, or fissures.
If Xe gas is used, the agent should wash out of the lungs 2 to 3 minutes after the patient ceases breathing the agent.
