The radiopharmaceutical should be cleared from the blood pool after 5 minutes. Liver activity should decrease over time, with the onset of noticeable liver clearing after 20 to 30 minutes.
Gallbladder and bowel activity should be visualized by 60 minutes (i.e., the biliary-to-bowel transit time).
