What are the radiographic characteristics of ILC?
A spiculated mass is the most common mammographic finding but is seen much less often than in invasive ductal carcinoma. Invasive lobular carcinoma is often not as dense on mammography as other cancers, and the mammogram usually underestimates the amount of tumor present. Invasive lobular carcinoma is more commonly mammographically occult than invasive ductal carcinoma, a fact with medicolegal significance.
