What is the best method of differentiating acute tubular necrosis from cyclosporine toxicity?
Because they appear identical on a single scan, serial scans may be necessary. Acute tubular necrosis improves over days to weeks without intervention and is almost always seen with cadaveric transplantation; it is infrequent and less severe with a living related donor. Cyclosporin toxicity improves with alteration in drug dosage.
