What is the renal scan appearance of acute tubular necrosis?

There is persistent cortical phase activity with poor clearance (i.e., poor renal function) but relatively well preserved renal perfusion. Improvement occurs in days to weeks, depending on severity. Cyclosporine toxicity has a similar appearance in the set-ting of therapeutic serum levels.
