What is Sprengel’s deformity?

Congenital elevation of the scapula due to failure of normal descent, often associated with other anomalies, such as bony connection to the spine (omovertebral bone), cervical fusion, scoliosis, and cardiac and renal conditions. The involved scapula is typically smaller than normal.
