How is nodal spread from cancer of the upper third of the vagina different from that of cancer of the lower two-thirds of the vagina?

Cancer in the upper third of the vagina resembles cervical cancer in its predilection for spread to the obturator, common iliac, and para-aortic nodes. The inguinal nodes are not usually involved.
