What is ABPA, and what are the associated CXR findings?
In patients with atopic asthma, the central bronchi may become plugged with mucus and Aspergillus. Secondary bronchiectasis may result. Dilated, plugged bronchi are seen as opacities extending from a hilum into a portion of the lung (gloved-finger sign).
