What is the cobra head sign, and how is it demonstrated?

Excretory urogram demonstrates an oval density of opacified urine in the dilated distal segment of the ureter. This is surrounded by a thin radiolucent halo representing herniated ureter (arrows), producing the cobra head sign of a simple ureterocele.
