What does a pathologic lymph node look like?

A pathologic lymph node is an enlarged, rounded structure that often exhibits central necrosis. It may resemble a vessel on a single section. Contrast helps, as does putting the sections together. Images reconstructed in the coronal and sagittal planes can help, too.
