1. Fibroadenoma: multiple groups or diffuse distribution of coarse heterogeneous or coarse or popcorn-like calcifications.


2. Fibrocystic changes: multiple groups or diffuse distribution of amorphous or coarse heterogeneous or fine pleomorphic calcifications
3. Fat necrosis: rim calcifications
4. Plasma cell mastitis (secretory disease): bilateral subareolar regional large rod-like calcifications
5. Arterial: bilateral regional vascular calcificatoins (tram-track appearance)
6. Skin: skin (located in the skin on imaging) or rim calcifications
7. Artifacts: deodorant (aluminum hydroxide) and talcum powder most common culprits
8. Silicone: foreign body granulomas; may have very bizarre appearance
